Cristián Opazo is the Director of Educational Technology at the NYU College of Dentistry. He is in charge of establishing and implementing the long-term strategy for technology-enhanced education at the College of Dentistry. He is a designer, developer and manager of curricular initiatives involving the purposeful use of learning technologies into healthcare education. His areas of expertise are curricular development, instructional design, project management in higher education, and development of VR/AR learning environments. His research has been published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Public Library of Science, and Complex Systems. He has a Ph.D. (ABD) and a Master's degree in physics from Michigan State University and a B.Sc. degree in physics from Universidad de Chile.
