Zahra is a Mitacs Elevate Post-Doctoral Fellow in Pain Studies Lab at Simon Fraser University in Canada. She acquired her PhD. in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary. She also has a BA and MA degrees in Clinical Psychology from University of Tehran. She is currently working on developing and performing a functional magnetic resonance imaging study to explore the effect of meditative virtual reality environments on the brain in patients with chronic pain conditions.
