Jeremy Nelson

University of Michigan

Director, XR Initiative
University of Michigan

Why I choose to work at Academic Innovation:

Leading the next generation of transformative technologies is rooted in solving pain points for different audiences, and that is what I have cultivated in my previous work experiences. I have a track record of creating initiatives from the ground up to become successful, impactful, and sustainable organizations that utilize technology to change the world. I am confident that my experience and leadership will drive the University of Michigan to the next level in creating a leading center of XR for faculty, industry, students, and the community to change the world.

Current Roles/Previous Experience:

As the Director of the XR Initiative, Jeremy will lead an effort to seed new projects and experiments that integrate XR into residential and online curricula, and to create innovative public/private partnerships to develop new XR related educational technology. Prior to joining AI, Jeremy was the co-founder and managing partner for Afia Inc, an Ann Arbor based healthcare consulting firm that worked with organizations across the country to assist in selecting and implementing technology solutions to improve processes and patient experiences.
